LENS OF OPPORTUNITY

Lens of Opportunity - In the early days of my photography journey, I am armed with my newly purchased entry level Canon 60D and an borrowed 70-200mm f/2.8L professional lens. I embark on my first portrait session with a local student, balancing studies with work at a local restaurant. With no professional lighting, I rely solely on natural light around my home, capturing moments by the pool table indoors and in nature scenes in the back yard. This session teaches me an invaluable lesson: quality glass can transform even the simplest camera into a tool for art. Here, with this borrowed lens, I discover the magic of depth, clarity, and the power of perspective, proving that often, the lens is indeed more important than the camera body.
